HIWIN GmbH, based in Offenburg, Germany, is celebrating its 30th anniversary this year. And from the very beginning, the specialist for standard and customized drive solutions has stood by its customers in every motion task - worldwide. In addition to profile rail guides, ball screws and electric lift cylinders, the product portfolio also includes complete positioning systems including belt and spindle axes, linear motor axes, rotary tables, torque motors, displacement measuring systems and industrial robots.
And in its anniversary year, the Black Forest company continues to ensure progress and innovation. The linear motors of the LMSA series, for example, have already been characterized by an enormous force density with a very flat design, which makes them particularly suitable for situations where large feed forces meet the smallest installation spaces. But what they had already achieved was not enough for the engineers.
They designed the LMSA0, which has now been presented, to be even more compact. With a forcer width of just 39.5 millimeters, it is predestined for use under strict installation space requirements. The likewise new LMSAC, on the other hand, achieves peak forces of up to 4458 newtons, which are particularly justified in special machine construction. Like all existing sizes before them, the LMSA0 and LMSAC linear motors are also equipped with the proven fully encapsulated epoxy stator. This provides the permanent magnets installed in the stator with excellent protection against mechanical effects.
