For more than 50 years, the companies of the STAUFF Group have been developing, manufacturing and distributing pipework equipment and hydraulic components for mechanical and plant engineering and for servicing and industrial maintenance. Among the highlights of recent years is undoubtedly the SPR-PRC-POC cutting ring assembly machine, which was launched in 2015. This compact, versatile table-top device with combined pressure and position control is used for the preassembly and final assembly of cutting rings. However, STAUFF has now made this highly successful model even more versatile, and it's showcasing the result at HANNOVER MESSE 2019 - featuring a new assembly head for processing tubes with very low bending radii.

So what makes the new version so special? The fixture for the cutting ring assembly stud has been moved further up than on the previous standard model, reducing the gap between the tube axis in the assembly stud and the top edge of the machine from 77 to 31 millimeters. As a result, the cutting rings can now easily be fitted to tubes with low axis spacings. When it comes to processing tubes with complex geometries, such as short tube ends and 90-degree deflections, the safety light barrier that protects the assembly area can be deactivated, if necessary. The new assembly head is ideal for tubes with diameters of between 6 and 18 millimeters in the lightweight series and between 6 and 16 millimeters in the heavy-duty series. All users need to do to continue using a pre-existing assembly tool is load new parameter sets into the machine. To simplify this process, STAUFF has also developed a cloud connection for the relevant machine type, which it is also unveiling in Hannover.
