Control system advice at HANNOVER MESSE
Beckhoff’s PC-based control technology forms the technological basis for the smart factory
15 Mar 2014Share
HANNOVER MESSE 2014 is exhibiting the latest developments following last year’s “Integrated Industry” theme. Industry 4.0 stands for increased efficiency, flexibility and sustainability based on communication and intelligence – and thus helps Germany grow a broader and stronger industrial base over the long term. Control engineering has a significant contribution to make, and its potential is far from exhausted. Improved communication and the increasing convergence of information and automation technology will help to achieve the desired goals.
Beckhoff’s PC-based control technology offers an excellent toolkit for future Industry 4.0 concepts. The system makes it easy to connect controls to production networks, communicate with databases, carry out remote maintenance over the Internet and call on cloud-based services. Its TwinCAT 3 automation software offers the necessary modularity and object-orientation for Industry 4.0 concepts. Beckhoff Automation is presenting this and other basic technologies, functions and services in a live demonstration at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
