Jülich’s scientists aim to reinvent computing. They are doing pioneering work in the fields of artificial intelligence, quantum computers, and neuromorphic computers, and operate JUPITER, one of the world’s most powerful supercomputers for AI. In addition to technical information processing, they are researching how the human brain processes information.

Energy

Jülich’s research aims for an energy system based on renewable energy that limits climate change. Sun, wind, and storage technologies instead of coal and oil: Jülich scientists are researching and optimizing the technologies for this.
