The pressure to act in the European enterprise market is at an all-time high: The upcoming migration of corporate data to the cloud affects thousands of companies. These include a large portion of Europe’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as nearly all DAX-listed corporations. According to industry studies by Gartner, more than 30 percent of companies with ERP systems still operate their business-critical SAP data landscape—either entirely or partially—locally in their own data centers.

While many companies are hesitant to make the switch or have concerns about U.S.-dominated infrastructure for data protection and compliance reasons, Schwarz Digits and SAP are launching RISE with SAP on STACKIT—a sovereign offering operated on European cloud infrastructure.

Effective immediately, the sovereign cloud platform STACKIT is available as a fully listed hyperscaler infrastructure in SAP’s toolset. STACKIT is thus currently the only European hyperscaler providing RISE with SAP. The offering combines the required legal certainty and independence with fully competitive market prices and the highest technical performance. This allows companies to operate their ERP data in the cloud with full control.

European and sovereign cloud solutions aren’t automatically more expensive: With RISE with SAP on STACKIT, customers benefit from exactly the same transparent and attractive pricing structure as with U.S. hyperscalers. In fact, within the RISE with SAP program, pricing is consistent across all certified infrastructure providers. Companies can thus benefit from the highest European data protection standards without paying a financial premium.

RISE with SAP on STACKIT is now commercially available to customers. Technical deployment is scheduled to begin in November 2026.
