AEG Power Solutions presents two modular, transformerless inverters
Share
Inverters belong to the power converter family and, as their name indicates, they invert direct current to alternating current. They are needed wherever direct current generated by photovoltaic systems or fuel cells must be converted to grid-compatible alternating current. AEG Power Solutions (AEG PS), global supplier of power electronics for renewable energies, is presenting two modular inverters with a wide input voltage range, the MFC 150 and the MPV 150, at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
The transformerless modular design of the new product line enables tailored, highly efficient connection of up to five inverter modules corresponding to the available input current. Both models achieve up to 98 percent efficiency due to the absence of transformers with their related losses. They are also extremely compact in structure. Both the MFC 150 and the MPV 150 are approved for use with the public grid.
