Designers are networking online
During the coronavirus crisis, contactless networking is more important than ever. The startup KITUNIT is offering an online community for mechanical engineering in which designers can support one another. There is also a database with 3D templates.

According to KITUNIT , the database has the advantage that users in digital space no longer have to start from scratch. Module templates can be integrated into some CAD programs, for example. The database is set to grow continuously, as users can also upload their own templates. The accompanying forum enables direct discussion of system design and associated topics. As is familiar from other forums, various answers to a question are accessible, but the best has a positive rating from the person asking the question. A group function ensures discretion if you want to restrict viewing to colleagues and/or customers only.
The Industry 4.0 platform has a broad approach. Founded by the associations Bitkom, VDMA and ZVEI in 2013 and presented at the HANNOVER MESSE, it allows alliances and networks to be created, among other things. Practical forums, the latest news from the industry and publications add the finishing touch to the service.
