The H2Eco Award is presented to national and international companies that contribute an outstanding commitment to a green hydrogen economy by technical innovation, economics and entrepreneurship according to the principles of economic efficiency, sustainability and security of supply. The contribution to protecting the climate stands in the foreground. The principle of H2Eco is an ecological and sustainable hydrogen future.

All German and international entrepreneurs and companies with innovative applications along the entire value chain of industrial H2 production can apply for the H2Eco Award 2023.

The award is presented to innovative projects that are considered pioneers and illustrate the great future potential of the green hydrogen market economy. The independent jury is once again made up of top hydrogen experts from business, research, society and politics.

The award ceremony will take place on 18 April 2023 during HANNOVER MESSE 2023. The price is endowed with 5,000 Euros.

In 2022, the German Hydrogen and Fuel Cell Association (DWV) presented the German Hydrogen Award H2Eco Award for the first time at HANNOVER MESSE 2022. The award went to ENGINIUS GmbH, a company of the FAUN Group. Under the ENGINIUS brand, the vehicle manufacturer FAUN, which specialises in municipal vehicles, is one of the first suppliers worldwide to offer hydrogen-powered trucks in series production. Thorsten Baumeister, COO of ENGINIUS, accepted the H2Eco Award at the Energy 4.0 Forum at HANNOVER MESSE.
