Deutsche Telekom offers integrated packages for IoT entry
New integrated packages from Deutsche Telekom in collaboration with Software AG are intended to deliver one thing in particular: an easy introduction to the Internet of Things.

At the heart of the integrated IoT solutions is the web portal which, depending on the application, configures and controls the individual components used, such as hardware, cloud storage and mobile wireless connectivity. The basis for this is standard platforms such as the IoT platform Cloud of Things powered by Comulocity , which Telekom operates in collaboration with Software AG .
The integrated packages are organized by industries and follow various application scenarios. The Asset Monitoring solution is available for location monitoring of goods and machines. It includes a tracker, access to the asset tracking web portal, mobile wireless connection and cloud storage. Integration and evaluation of the data in further systems such as SAP or company-specific applications is possible on the basis of an open interface. Automated machine monitoring in real time is handled by the Industrial Machine Monitoring integrated package. The devices that use an industrial protocol such as Modbus RTU can be networked, visualized and monitored via the cloud fieldbus with the IoT platform from Telekom.
Telekom recommends its IoT Service Button as an example of a highly straightforward solution for an introduction to the Internet of Things. At the press of a button, technical faults can be reported, spare parts ordered or collection of filled containers arranged, for example, as the customer requires.
