Germany has set itself the ambitious target of reducing its primary energy consumption – compared with 2008 figures – by 20% up to the year 2020 and by 50% up to 2050. However, this goal can only be achieved with a massive drive to increase energy efficiency. The publication of ISO standard 50001 in June 2011 established the first international standard for an energy management system. Up to that time, energy data was input into MES software systems (Manufacturing Execution Systems) mainly for the purposes of improving quality and reducing costs – but now new ideas are coming into play. At HANNOVER MESSE 2014, gbo Datacomp and bisoft EMG show how to move towards efficient energy data management.

From capturing energy-related data, to energy data monitoring and capturing product- and plant-related energy data, right through to targeted energy data management in accordance with ISO 50001, bisoft EMG has a full portfolio of solutions covering all the necessary steps. This includes measurement and collection of data, data processing, long-term data archiving, and making the data available online. The company’s scope of services includes manual and automatic data analysis to measure savings and detect faults, determination of key parameters, consumption and procurement forecasts, internal accounting and allocation of power, as well as the support and provision of all processes that are based on energy data.
