E.ON an offshore pioneer in Japan
The Dusseldorf-based energy corporation has joined forces with a Japanese company to drive the expansion of offshore wind turbines in the country.

Up until now, Japan has predominantly focused on solar energy and onshore wind turbines as renewable sources of energy. It is only since 2018 that there has also been a law governing offshore turbines, although no turbines have yet been erected at sea.
