Building a bridge between countries – for the DIHK and ESMT Berlin , knowledge transfer and educational support play a key role here. As part of their cooperation , the two institutions will combine ESMT Berlin’s educational programs and its expertise in the training and further training of executives with the international network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) coordinated by the DIHK and currently represented in a total of 140 locations in 92 countries.
Together with the AHKs, ESMT Berlin wants to continuously improve the framework conditions for German companies at the respective locations by training local executives through, among other things, part-time MBA programs that draw on the infrastructure of the local AHKs, as well as the digital infrastructure of ESMT Berlin’s online learning platform . The focus will also be on the training of junior executives in emerging markets, as part of the Industry Immersion Program run by ESMT Berlin and the African Institute of Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in South Africa, for example. The DIHK will support the initiative by developing an internship program for local participants.
