Energy management in industry
In order to operate a production plant in a more energy-saving manner, it has to be digitally connected in a holistic manner. For this purpose, Schneider Electric has developed EcoStruxure Machine, an open and scalable solution architecture within which field devices, control systems and software are capable of continuous data communication.

Based on this data transparency, valid decisions can be made to optimize energy consumption, operating sequences and maintenance operations.
To achieve the highest possible data density, all plant components must be closely networked and digitally accessible. In addition to harnessing and collecting all machine and environmental data, saving energy in industrial applications also depends on motion design that is as precise as possible. For complex applications with up to 130 servo axes, Schneider Electric therefore has a comprehensive and high-performance solution in store in the form of the integrated and scalable PacDrive3 automation platform with motion, PLC and IT functionality. For less complex systems that can manage with 16 axes, Modicon M262 is available. This has a cloud connection and allows programs to be executed directly in the cloud via an API, thus saving on-site resources.
