The expanded cooperation covers both equipping 3D printers with hardware by EOS and integrating the driver directly into software solutions by Siemens. The EOS M-300 printer series, which is designed for additive manufacturing using metals, now includes automation and drive components from Siemens' Totally Integrated Automation (TIA) portfolio. The Siemens Group will in turn equip its recently opened Additive Manufacturing Experience Center (AMEC) in Erlangen with E-300 and P-500 printers. The competence center targets customers from industry and aims to provide comprehensive insight into all matters relating to additive manufacturing technology.
Siemens is also integrating the EOSPRINT driver into the NX Fixed Plane 3D printing module (Powder Bed) of its NX 12 design and process optimization software to ensure that it will provide all of the EOSPRINT 2 CAM program's functions in the future.
