The company EOS has joined the MindSphere World e.V. association as one of the first providers of 3D printing solutions. The specialist in industrial 3D printing of metals and polymers is taking over leadership of the Additive Manufacturing working group in the user organization of the IoT operating system . With EOSCONNECT, EOS offers a software solution that acts as a gateway and makes it possible, in conjunction with MindSphere, to integrate the EOS 3D systems into the Internet of Things. Companies are therefore able to link their machine networks throughout the world to allow them to manufacture more flexibly and productively.

MindSphere World e.V. was established in January 2018 by Siemens AG in collaboration with 18 partner companies in order to develop the ecosystem of the open, cloud-based IoT operating system worldwide. The founding members include Chiron Group SE, Festo AG, Sick AG and Trumpf Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH.
