Capgemini, headquartered in Paris, is one of the world's leading consulting and services companies, focusing on information technology and advanced engineering. The consulting firm places emphasis on ensuring that the technologies it uses serve to unleash human potential - for an inclusive and sustainable future. In doing so, the company focuses on rapidly evolving innovations in cloud, data, AI, connectivity, software, digital engineering and platforms. With over 350,000 employees in more than 50 countries, Capgemini is also passionate about being perceived as a responsible and diverse organization itself.

Good prospects

For example, Capgemini has set itself the goal of increasing the proportion of women in its teams to 40 percent by 2025. The company has already been recognized for its commitment to promoting gender diversity in the Bloomberg Gender Equality Index 2022. In addition, the Capgemini Group actively promotes equal inclusion of people with disabilities and members of disadvantaged minorities. Through the OUTfront Global Network, the company is creating an LGBT+ friendly workplace and has received Stonewall awards for this in several regions.

Equal pay for equal performance

The fact that all these activities are bearing fruit is demonstrated very recently by the receipt of EDGE Assess and EDGEplus certifications at a global level. In the past, the Capgemini Group and several local units already received EDGE (Economic Dividents for Gender Equality) certification, which focused on gender equality. Now, with EDGEplus certification, Capgemini has additionally been recognized in the area of intersectional equality. In Germany, Capgemini has also received EDGE Move certification. This second of the EDGE certifications consisting of three levels recognizes the integration and the positive result of the Gender Pay Analysis of the German site.

Integration as an incentive

"We strongly believe that the lived diversity of our teams and our strong inclusive culture are fundamental to the success of our company," said Henrik Ljungström, Managing Director of Capgemini in Germany. "The introduction of EDGEplus certification across the Capgemini Group is a milestone in our journey to create an equal, diverse and inclusive work environment and to be an attractive employer for diverse talent. It makes me proud that we performed particularly well in Germany in the areas of leadership development, flexible working hours and equal pay. By doing so, we are creating a culture where our employees can realize their potential, have equal opportunities, and show that our drive for gender equality in the workplace is effective."
