The Enterprise Award honors companies of Swedish origin who have successfully established themselves in Germany and thus boosted the reputation of their home country. The Swedish Chamber of Commerce in Germany, the Swedish Embassy and Business Sweden confer the award. According to Per Thöresson, Sweden's ambassador in Berlin, Ericsson demonstrates its forward-looking approached in numerous projects, "whether through its Industry 4.0 involvement at the HANOVER MESSE or by testing new technologies on the 5G-ConnectedMobility test field along the A9 motorway". Together with partners, the company is testing 5G application cases on road and rail there. Other awards went, in the SME category, to Hemsö, an administrator and developer of social real estate, while in the newcomer category the award went to Incomera, a start-up that offers mobile Internet for buses, trucks, trains and other vehicles.
Sweden, HANOVER MESSE 2019 partner country, launched its trade fair campaign "Co-Lab: Innovate with us!" at the award ceremony. The Sweden Co-Lab Website is already reporting on the planned activities of Swedish companies at the HANOVER MESSE, scheduled to run from April 1 to 5, 2019. The central booth in hall 27 will present sectors in which Sweden shows a particularly high level of innovation. "Satellite" pavilions on topics such as energy or automation are also planned.
