In order to promote Digitization in European SMEs and to improve companies' capacity to innovate, the EU Commission has launched a pilot project. The call for proposals is currently active.
The project's goal is to bring together growth-oriented SMEs with digitization experts from other EU countries. The experts will work at the companies for one month and contribute their know-how on site. Thus the EU wants to give businesses access to knowledge and experience that is not available in their respective region. This is also intended to promote the internationalization of companies. The digital experts, in turn, are supposed to gain experience abroad and expand their network and their knowledge of the local culture and conditions.
The project is funded by the EU, with a maximum of € 994,000, and is part of the Horizon 2020 program. Further information and application documents are available on the project page . The deadline for submitting proposals is January 31, 2018.
