From floor covering to lighting, the exhibition stand for Danfoss at HANNOVER MESSE 2014 is completely CO2-neutral. This is the Nordborg, Denmark-based company's way of demonstrating its corporate philosophy, because sustainability, climate protection and reducing the energy needs of manufacturing are Danfoss's core business.

The stand is made of recycled materials, the planners did without unnecessary frills, and they paid close attention to the reclamation potential of the materials used. Even the way exhibition staff is coming to the fair - by rail rather than by car – is part of the catalogue of climate-neutral features. Unavoidable emissions, such as those generated delivering the materials for stand construction, were itemized and checked by the fair builder and then balanced out with investments in environmental protection projects, including reforestation programs, for example.

The exhibits are also focused on resource-friendly solutions: Danfoss VLT Antriebstechnik, a business unit of the German Danfoss subsidiary, plans to make its contribution to a safer and cleaner world by using more energy efficient drive engineering. At the fair, Danfoss is showing how drive tasks can be optimally solved in various fields by using just the right motor technology for each application. Drive solutions for various segments of a manufacturing operation are displayed along the outside of the stand – from the primary production process to transport and packing technology, all the way to crane applications.
