FARO INSIGHT, a business unit of AMETEK, is expanding its solution portfolio with the Focus i.1 and Focus i.1 X terrestrial laser scanners, as well as the Rovi i.1 reality capture package. The Focus i.1 and i.1 X models are designed to support professionals who rely on precise spatial data to document, measure, and understand real-world environments. They combine enhanced hardware, optimized measurement performance with object accuracy of up to 0.9 millimeters, faster color scanning, and advanced positioning technologies.

Designed for AECO, geospatial, public safety, and related applications, the scanners offer a range of updates focused on reality capture and field productivity. For outdoor and geospatial applications, the Focus i.1 X features a mountable GNSS/RTK receiver with a range of 400 meters, helping users georeference data and optimize workflows.

Focus continues to support cloud-based collaboration on the FARO Sphere XG digital reality platform, as well as advanced processing and AI-powered data cleanup in SCENE through a new subscription model. This expands access to connected workflows and enables companies to scale their reality-capture capabilities over time.

In partnership with Manifold Tech Limited, a spatial 3D intelligence technology company, FARO INSIGHT is also introducing Rovi i.1. The new reality-capture solution is designed to make digital reality accessible to a broader audience through an affordable package combining a capture device and a software subscription. The workflow is intended to combine data capture with the mobile scanner, processing in FARO Sphere XG, and project insights with SCENE into a user-friendly, affordable solution.
