Field assembly at speed
With the first monoblock variant for the Han-Compact housing, HARTING is expanding its range of modular push-in inserts to enable up to 30 percent faster field assembly of connectors.

Following the market launch of modular push-in inserts in the spring, HARTING, one of the leading suppliers of industrial connectors, has now added the next expansion stage and expanded its portfolio with a first monoblock variant for the Han-Compact housing. The new Han Q 8/0 insert is designed to enable up to 30 percent faster field assembly of connectors thanks to the push-in technology used. This makes it particularly suitable for environments with little room for installation work.
Push-in technology is a further development of the cage clamp. It makes the connection as simple as possible and is therefore particularly suitable for field assembly, for example in energy systems or when assembling machine modules or production lines. The handling of components, for example during maintenance work, should also become easier. HARTING provides a special tool for equally fast disassembly.
Strands with ferrules can even be connected in the Han Q monoblock without tools thanks to the push-in technology. An internal clamping spring snaps shut when the ferrule reaches the bottom of the chamber and ensures tensile strength. For stripped strands without a sleeve, the pressure of a screwdriver on the orange-colored actuator is sufficient to hold the cage tension spring open when inserting the cable ends.
