ELCA S.R.L., based in Mussolente in northern Italy, is a company that develops and produces safety radio remote controls and electronic automation for a wide range of applications, including industry, agriculture, ecology, marble extraction and processing, material handling, maintenance machines and special applications. New in the Italian company's portfolio is the VEDO radio control system, which ELCA will be presenting at HANNOVER MESSE 2025.
VEDO is the new radio control system from ELCA that can be worn on the hip. Thanks to its flexible configurability, numerous types of actuators can be accommodated in three different positions: “on-top”, two-stage and side operation. A magnetic “CONTACTLESS” hardware key (PIN-ID available) and programmable CANBUS, PROFIBUS, PROFINET and ETHERNET outputs are available. The General Safe Stop (GSS - PL d Cat.3 EN ISO 13849-1) is easy to reach and can be activated if necessary. The new VEDO options include a graphical display with CODESYS (IEC 61131-3 compliant) and customizable color graphics, as well as a quick-release system for the waist belt that has been specially designed for optimal user comfort. A protective cover also prevents accidental activation of the controls.
