Firm grip in confined spaces: pneumatic parallel grippers from SMC
Tight spaces are an advantage for robot or pick-and-place applications in manufacturing. However, this also requires safe and flexible material handling. For this purpose, SMC developed the JMHZ2 series of pneumatic parallel grippers for use in the smallest of spaces.

Compared to the existing product, the new gripper is smaller, weighs less and offers a variety of assembly options. In this way, users benefit from smaller machine dimensions and usability in confined spaces. The longer distance to the gripping point ensures a greater distance to the housing, which avoids interference between the housing and the machine. Despite less compressed air consumption, the new gripper achieves the same performance as its predecessor.
