Forciot , which is based in Tampere in southern Finland, has developed an adaptable electronics system including software algorithms. The company says that it can be integrated into products and devices for precise measurement and evaluation of force, weight, balance and pressure. The system can also be used as an HMI touch control.

Forciot has now brought in around four million euros in this round of funding, with the technology group Heraeus from Hanau as the main investor. It sees electronics and sensor systems as a highly promising market of the future: “The investment in Forciot makes it possible for us to open up this market further and to learn more about it – that will help our growth areas of electronics and sensor systems,” says Dr. Frank Stietz, Head of Business Area Electronics. Volvo Cars has also invested in Forciot. The Swedish automobile manufacturer, which is part of the Chinese automotive group Geely, sees great potential in Forciot technology when it comes to increasing the safety of vehicle interiors and improving driving comfort with new functions. Forciot also offers its technology for logistics and wearables.
