The engineering expert Formel D from Troisdorf near Cologne has announced the takeover of the French quality service provider CPS Quality. The parties have agreed not to disclose the financial details. CPS Quality, with its headquarters in Oyonnax in the French Jura, employs about 2,000 staff. The company was founded in 2004 and specializes in quality control with a particular focus on the automobile industry. CPS Quality has a presence in France, Romania, Turkey, Morocco, Algeria, Belgium and Hungary.
Formel D was founded in 1993 and now has over 10,000 employees at 80 locations in 20 countries. It develops concepts for process optimization and quality assurance for the entire automobile value creation chain. The takeover should enable both stakeholders to develop their presence in those countries and extend their product portfolios. Formel D CEO Jürgen Laakmann is certain that the company will be able to grow more strongly with CPS Quality and meet customer needs more effectively.
