With the new Blockchain Device "Dragon", dangerous goods transports can be organized in a legally and tamper-proof way. "Dragon is the first solution for the dangerous goods sector to make any mobile devices blockchain-enabled. Blockchain-enabled devices make an important contribution to the modernization of dangerous goods management in view of the steadily increasing volume of dangerous goods. The 'bring your own device' approach makes it possible to bring the great potential of blockchain technology to operational dangerous goods logistics," emphasizes Prof. Michael Henke, Institute Director at Fraunhofer IML. The technology's great potential is particularly evident in a highly legal topic such as the transport of hazardous goods, in which many players are involved, from the consignor to the shipper and carrier to the consignee.
