Highlights of the symposium included keynote presentations by SEAT and Audi, which provided insights into current developments and the use of AI in data-driven simulation. “Our customers face the challenge of developing increasingly complex products in less time. AI-supported simulation methods help shorten development cycles and make more informed decisions. The summit demonstrated just how great the potential already is today,” says Stefan Laustroer, Head of Simulation Solutions at Bechtle PLM.

Dassault Systèmes’ AI Companions were also introduced during the forum. Their names are AURA, LEO, and MARIE. Dassault Systèmes positions AURA as an explorer, advisor, and business and knowledge expert. She combines information from SOLIDWORKS, corporate data, PLM systems, and external sources to assist users with research and decision-making.

LEO is the technical engineering companion. He is geared toward specific design and development tasks and acts as a virtual design engineer. MARIE is the scientific expert in materials science, physics, and advanced analysis.

With the AI Companions, users receive assistance in selecting suitable models, interpreting results, or understanding physical relationships. To this end, they are directly integrated into SOLIDWORKS and the 3DEXPERIENCE platform. The goal is to automate recurring tasks, identify design problems, suggest geometries, and accelerate technical decision-making.
