Just one year after its market launch, the model T38 digital temperature transmitter from WIKA has all the important international approvals and can therefore be sold worldwide. Thanks to its innovative drift detection, the transmitter is designed to ensure even greater process reliability. The T38 can also be used flexibly, because its six sensor connection terminals allow countless possible combinations with input sensors.
True Drift Detection is a monitoring function that has been newly developed by WIKA. By means of permanent monitoring with the aid of two perfectly matched sensors, a drifting sensor can be detected immediately. This enables operators to intervene promptly in the event of faulty measurements. According to WIKA, process reliability is therefore reliably guaranteed at all times.
The temperature transmitter meets all the requirements of IEC 61508 and is designed for universal use. For needs-based integration, the T38 is available in a head and a rail version, as well as in SIL and various Ex versions. All variants can be programmed via the HART protocol with a variety of open configuration tools.
