At the booth of the Austrian-German research project EuProGigant in Hall 4, visitors to HANNOVER MESSE 2022 will be able to experience how the data of two CNC machining centers converge on a single platform across locations and are made available securely and decentrally via deltaDAO AG's Minimal Viable Gaia-X demonstrator, based on Ocean Protocol. The researchers are thus demonstrating in Hanover how the condition monitoring of manufacturing processes can also succeed for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through cooperation in the creation of the necessary database. This is because the data volumes required for this pose numerous challenges for SMEs, as they often do not have enough of the same machines available to generate sufficient operating data, or lack options for evaluating existing data.

The validation platform developed by the project team therefore aims to open up new opportunities for collaboration for SMEs. To this end, the validation platform relies on the new Gaia-X data infrastructure in order to be able to guarantee a secure and sovereign exchange of data between production companies. The project team is relying on the support of deltaDAO AG. Together with their Hamburg-based specialists in distributed ledger technologies (DLT), the validation platform is being extended to include the Minimal Viable Gaia-X demonstrator (MVG). This uses Ocean Protocol and thereby prototypically realized Gaia-X federation services - which stand for secure and sovereign data exchange - and thus enables insights into digital ecosystems with a decentralized data economy entirely in line with the Gaia-X vision. "With its industry-related use cases, EuProGigant is a perfect fit for our mission to build open, transparent, secure and decentralized digital ecosystems," said Kai Meinke, Co-Founder and Business Lead at deltaDAO AG. "We are looking forward to being part of the first Gaia-X live demonstrator at HANNOVER MESSE and presenting the benefits and features of this new data infrastructure to visitors." Markus Weber, project coordinator Germany and research associate at PTW TU Darmstadt, adds, "We appreciate the expertise of the deltaDAO team, with whose help we can extend our validation platform with Gaia-X Federation Services. The Minimal Viable Gaia-X demonstrator allows us to show booth visitors how data can support the industrial value creation process and how new, data-driven business models can also emerge."
