"Our industrial culture is changing in that we are increasingly turning to bio-based materials," says Dr. Sascha Peters, Owner of Haute Innovation. In Hall 6 at the Industrial Supply trade show, his agency is organizing a special display on innovative materials for the subcontracting industries.
There is a reason why Global Material Innovations is right next to the Materials Forum and the Lightweight Construction Solutions Area . Many of the materials and technologies showcased at the special display were developed especially for lightweight construction. The Hamburg University of Technology will be presenting Aerographite here, the world’s lightest material. Robofold from London has robots folding aluminum into to origami art. A bicycle made of wood veneer tubes (Lignotubes, Dresden), flax fiber composite materials from Bcomp (Switzerland) and a bamboo ring structure for logistics applications (CONBOU, Berlin) are also part of the show.
