The Busch Group is one of the world's largest manufacturers of vacuum pumps, vacuum systems, blowers, compressors and exhaust gas cleaning systems. The Busch Group combines three well-known brands: Busch Vacuum Solutions, centrotherm clean solutions and Pfeiffer Vacuum+Fab Solutions. The latter has now introduced the new DuoVane vacuum pumps, which are characterized by a pumping speed of six to 22 cubic meters per hour.
Equipped with an IE2 energy-efficient motor, these vacuum pumps are designed to ensure uncomplicated operation worldwide. With their low noise emissions, they also ensure a more pleasant working environment. DuoVane vacuum pumps are equipped with an improved inlet safety valve that offers increased safety in the event of application errors. In addition, they are said to be more robust thanks to a higher tolerance of water vapor, especially in the application areas of freeze drying, sterilization and HVAC (heating, ventilation and air conditioning). Typical applications also include the generation of a backing vacuum for turbomolecular vacuum pumps, for example in accelerators or in battery production. Analyzers such as electron microscopes or mass spectrometers are also equipped with rotary vane vacuum pumps.
“Even for proven products, a successor comes onto the market at some point,” explains Marcel Merkardt, product manager for rotary vane vacuum pumps at Pfeiffer. To ensure that the new vacuum pumps can be easily integrated into existing systems, they have the same dimensions as their predecessors. “DuoVane vacuum pumps combine the advantages of our two proven Pascal and DuoLine series. This means that our customers get the same high vacuum performance with low energy consumption.”
