The owner-managed Schmersal Group offers its customers worldwide systems and solutions for machine safety and occupational safety as well as for sub-sectors of automation technology. Founded in Wuppertal in 1945, Schmersal is now one of the international market leaders with the world's most comprehensive range of safety technology. At HANNOVER MESSE 2024, the Bergisch company is now presenting its new DHS door handle system

The universally designed door handle system signals different machine statuses over a large area using seven different colors. The user can control the colors individually to signal the defined machine statuses. A pushbutton is also available, which can be individually adapted to customer requirements using the colored pushbutton caps supplied. The push-button can be used, for example, to perform a reset function or a request to open the safety gate. The advantage: the DHS door handle system eliminates the need to fit additional door handles and indicator lights. The entire door system is specially designed for integration into 40-millimetre profile systems.

Another highlight of the product family around the door handle system is the new BDF40 control panel, which with its flat design fits perfectly with the AZM40 solenoid interlock. It is available in two versions, either with or without an emergency stop function, and offers interchangeable, colored push-button caps for illuminated or non-illuminated push-buttons. The control panel can be seamlessly integrated into the door system with the AZM40 solenoid interlock and the DHS door handle via a connecting piece. Alternatively, it can also be installed as a stand-alone control panel. The 12-pin M12 connection is also designed to enable quick and error-free installation. This can be covered with the optional MS mounting kits and thus protected against tampering.
