Headquartered in Boston, USA, PTC helps global manufacturers achieve double-digit cost optimisation with software solutions to accelerate product and service innovation, improve operational efficiency and increase workforce productivity. Combined with an extensive partner network, PTC offers customers flexibility in deploying its technology to drive digital transformation - on-premise, in the cloud or via the pure SaaS platform. At HANNOVER MESSE 2023, PTC is partnering with Microsoft to showcase forward-thinking solutions that enable companies to implement their digital transformation, optimise their operations and drive growth.

Partnership with Microsoft enables end-to-end solutions
The end-to-end solution presented combines PTC's PLM (Product Lifecycle Management), AR (Augmented Reality) and IIoT offerings with Microsoft's Azure cloud platform and its AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) capabilities. The secure and compliant environment protects companies' valuable data and assets, and is designed to give them the flexibility to respond quickly to changing market conditions and scale the solution as needed. As part of its partnership with Microsoft, PTC has also moved its market-leading Windchill+ PLM software to the SaaS model.

Oreo stacking machine demonstrates ThingWorx DPM
Using a machine that stacks Oreo biscuits, PTC will also demonstrate its ThingWorx DPM (Digital Performance Management) solution at the Microsoft stand. With its closed-loop problem solution in real time, it provides insights into bottlenecks, causes of errors and currently realised improvements. This enables manufacturers to compare and prioritise optimisation measures and validate their results.

Digital thread at Vestas
Using the example of Vestas, a leading supplier of wind turbines, PTC demonstrates the digital thread. At Vestas, this begins in the design department, where PTC's PLM solution Windchill lays a solid foundation for governance and traceability, and extends through PTC's CAD, PLM and IoT solutions. End-to-end configuration management allows Vestas to synchronise its design and production while eliminating manual handoffs and redundant activities. In this way, the company is constantly improving the quality of its products and processes.
