InnoEnergy , the European society for knowledge and innovation in the field of sustainable energy, is investing up to 5 million euros in the Dutch startup Hardt , a spin-off of the TU Delft. The funds will flow into a consortium (founded by Hardt) for the technical development and realization of the Hyperloop, which includes, among others, Royal BAM Group and Royal IHC from the Netherlands as well as Tata Steel . DB Engineering & Consulting and Continental from Germany as well as ENGIE Laborelec from Belgium have now also gotten on board the ultra-fast train.
The extended consortium will focus on the standardization and regulation of Hyperloop technologies to accelerate implementation of the innovative transport system in Europe. InnoEnergy's investment is part of a larger round of investments for which the Hardt Hyperloop aims to find even more partners. Managing Director Tim Houter has the following to say on the topic: "With this investment, InnoEnergy is sending the message that the development of the Hyperloop has entered a new phase. It also underlines the importance and urgency of investing in the development of a cleaner and better alternative for long-distance transport."
