Siempelkamp presents stand-out castings from the world’s largest hand-casting foundry
Share
Last year's HANNOVER MESSE might legitimately have appeared to visitors as almost an extension of CeBIT – not just because the "Integrated Industry" theme addressed progress in the digital arena, but due to the many exhibits in which industry was presented virtually. Visitors could feel themselves lucky to get just the occasional hands-on look at industrial culture here and there at the fair. This year once again, Siempelkamp Giesserei based in Krefeld, Germany is one representative bringing real industry to life in the Casting Technology showcase at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
For the second time, Siempelkamp Giesserei – the world's largest hand-casting foundry – is presenting its exceptional castings as the focus of its exhibit. Trade professionals can expect to see a press frame as a component of a hot press, for example. Compared with the 320-ton casting that earned Siempelkamp the world record in September 2013, this exhibit with its 30 metric tons may be a "lightweight" – but these very complex cast components clearly demonstrate the foundry’s concentrated expertise and engineering know-how. And of course, Siempelkamp not only takes on the challenge of outsized cast parts, but also fulfills the highest precision requirements for complex cast geometries – to be experienced at HANNOVER MESSE 2014.
