The increasingly rampant shortage of skilled workers is undoubtedly one of the core problems facing German industry. While many companies rely too much on the political landscape to solve this threatening phenomenon, other companies are taking matters into their own hands and taking different approaches. At automation specialist Festo, one of those family-run companies that has consistently proven itself in the top league of global competition, a special Didactic division has long been ensuring that the next generation of qualified employees are trained in-house.
