SFC Energy AG is an international technology leader in reliable power supply for critical infrastructure and off-grid applications. The company focuses on fail-safe energy and power management solutions and addresses high-growth markets in the areas of security, defense, infrastructure, IT, and high-tech industrial equipment.

As a pioneer in fuel cell technology, SFC Energy develops and manufactures innovative hybrid power supply systems and high-precision power management solutions for stationary and mobile applications worldwide. The company's products represent energy-efficient solutions and offer customers optimized total cost of ownership in the two strategic business areas of “Clean Energy” and “Clean Power Management.”

With the new EMILY 12000, SFC has now expanded its proven solution portfolio based on direct methanol fuel cell (DMFC) technology, which has been in use worldwide for more than 20 years. The system achieves a nominal output of up to 500 watts or 12,000 watt-hours per day, making it four times more powerful than the field-proven EMILY 3000, which is still required for the medium power range. In addition, multiple systems can be interconnected in cluster operation to provide power outputs of up to five kilowatts. The EMILY 12000 can be used on vehicles and mobile platforms as well as in remote or stationary applications.

The EMILY 12000 is particularly aimed at the requirements of modern armed forces, which need a reliable and flexible energy supply in mobile and deployed scenarios. It ensures command and communication capabilities even during temporary operations outside of fixed infrastructure, thus ensuring operational readiness in a variety of scenarios.

The EMILY 12000 enables a continuous supply of communication systems, drones, sensors, and IT infrastructure – efficiently, self-sufficiently, and with a decisive advantage over conventional generators: virtually silent, emission-free, and signature-free operation. Production of the EMILY 12000 is to take place at the existing sites in Germany and India, and in the future at the new production facility in the USA. The market launch is planned for 2026.

Florian Taschke, CTO of SFC Energy AG: "SFC has more than 20 years of experience in the development and production of fuel cell systems. With the EMILY series power supply solutions, we have hardened the technology for extreme conditions to such an extent that it has set standards for defense and security organizations. The new EMILY 12000 is based on our commercially successful civilian EFOY Pro 12000 and a study conducted jointly with a defense organization, which we are further developing for military use and adapting to the high standards of the armed forces."

Christian Böhm, Senior Vice President of SFC Energy AG: "Emergency services around the world rely on our power supply solutions in extreme environmental conditions. We also meet the high standards of the NATO Support and Procurement Agency (NSPA). We are now introducing the next generation of our EMILY fuel cells with higher output of up to five kilowatts in cluster use. Our goal is to continue our success story with higher power, especially for deployed applications."
