German mechanical engineering enjoys an excellent reputation around the world, earned through hard work over time. But continuous development and refinement are needed to maintain this excellent position and always have something new to show. For example, Dr. Boy is a small business showcasing big skills in the injection molding sector. The company is presenting its fully automated BOY 60 E manufacturing unit at HANNOVER MESSE 2014, to produce beer glasses made of ultra-transparent polycarbonate, at the Metal-Ceramics-Plastics Innovation Cluster (IMKK) stand in Hall 6.

The BOY 60 E is equipped with the multi-patented Procan ALPHA® 2 multi-touch control with an optional EconPlast heating system that requires up to 50 percent less energy for plastification. Glasses produced in the BOY 60 E are automatically removed from the system, inscribed with a laser from Bluhm Systeme and then placed on a conveyor belt. H. Schneider brewery from Westerwald, producer of the popular Hachenburger beer and also an IMKK partner at this year’s HANNOVER MESSE then ensures that the glasses fulfill their purpose...
