With Hydrogen + Fuel Cells (H2+FC) NORTH AMERICA, Deutsche Messe AG is launching its first-ever energy event in the USA. It is being held at the same time as Solar Power International (SPI) from September 10 to 13, 2017 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas.

SPI 2017, North America's largest solar power trade fair, is expecting 700 exhibitors and around 20,000 visitors. Also a part of SPI 2017 is Energy Storage International (ESI), the largest energy storage event in North America with over 115 exhibitors. In addition to solar topics, an additional focus is on energy storage.

Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA is a perfect complement to Solar Power International since hydrogen and fuel cell technologies are closely interrelated and growing in importance in connection to renewables," says Benjamin Low, Director of Energy at HANNOVER MESSE with Deutsche Messe AG.

The event is organized by Hannover Fairs USA in cooperation with Tobias Renz FAIR. "After 23 years of experience at Europe’s largest trade fair dealing with hydrogen, fuel cells, and batteries we are continuing our successful work in the USA," says Tobias Renz. Deutsche Messe has been operating Hydrogen + Fuel Cells + Batteries as a distinct showcase at HANNOVER MESSE for more than twenty years. In 2016, over 160 companies from 25 countries exhibited at this showcase in Hall 27.

"We are now providing a new platform accessing the attractive US market to this international community," says Benjamin Low. According to Tobias Renz, the hydrogen and fuel cell scene in Las Vegas benefits from numerous synergy effects with the solar and energy storage industries. Themes at H2+FC NORTH AMERICA are hydrogen generation and transportation, fuel cell systems and applications (stationary, portable and mobile), components and suppliers, and testing stations for fuel cells and batteries.

In addition to Hydrogen + Fuel Cells NORTH AMERICA and Energy in Hannover, which with its 1200 exhibitors is the world’s largest trade show for energy technologies, Deutsche Messe operates other energy-themed trade fairs outside Germany, including CanWEA and SOLAR CANADA, both of which are held in Canada, and Electrotech Eurasia and ICCI, which are held in Turkey.
