The use of robots in industry is really nothing new. What is comparatively new, however, is the step out of cells and cages, i.e. the direct contact of the robot with its human colleague. This step requires a new, "sensitive" type of robot, which will ultimately not only be able to relieve humans of tasks that are ergonomically and health-wise stressful and simple, monotonous - the collaborating robot, the Cobot of tomorrow will even be able to perform services directly on humans, for example in care. This new robot concept opens up an almost unlimited range of applications and is rightly regarded as one of the key technologies on the way to the future.

One of the companies that are developing specifically in this direction is ATLANTA Robotics, a new division of the traditional family business ATLANTA, a renowned drive specialist. According to their own statement, the ATLANTA has launched the TM lightweight robots, the world's first lightweight robots with an integrated camera system. With the TM lightweight robots, the interaction of integrated safety functions, innovative and standard camera technology as well as simple programming should enable an almost unlimited range of applications. According to the developers, the collaborative design in conjunction with the integrated camera system (hardware and software) makes it possible to use an intuitive and easy-to-integrate module for Industry 4.0 in all kinds of applications.
