German managers are rather doubtful regarding digitization. This is the conclusion of an international study by Randstad Sourceright . According to this study, even though 58% of respondents perceive the growing importance of digital topics, their willingness to invest in related areas remains low. Other industrialized countries are more optimistic about the new technologies: More than half of the French and almost two-thirds of US executives see positive effects, while the rate edges up over 80% in the emerging market of China. The quarterly online survey has signed up 800 human resource managers and executives from 17 countries.

According to other studies, however, the skepticism of German decision-makers is gradually fading. A survey of the consulting firm Staufen has shown that more than half of all German companies have now at least tackled individual projects in the field of digital transformation. Only in about 10% of the companies do the decision-makers exclude corresponding projects in general.
