As a "network of public R&D centers with ultra-modern facilities, cutting-edge technology, and scientific skills at an international level," Open R&D Lithuania is presenting itself in Hall 2. The new platform unites 14 universities, 13 public research institutes and 8 science and technology parks in Lithuania. The stand in Hannover is being coordinated by the Agency for Science, Innovation and Technology. The Lithuanian Energy Institute, the Vytautas Magnus University and the University of Applied Science TU Kaunas, the Technical University Vilnius Gediminas, the University Aleksandras Stulginskis, and the University of Klaipeda are all participating. In Hannover they plan to present their range of R&D services as well as concrete innovations.
Vytautas Magnus University (VDU) from Kaunas, is demonstrating the simulation environments in Hannover that they provide to foreign partners for employee training, process optimization, and adaptive control. The VDU is also showcasing an innovative process to observe media with the aid of speech and semantic technologies.
