Interactive demonstrators and industrial metaverse: Data-driven industry you can touch

The focus is on demonstrators that show industrial metaverse applications in product creation, training and simulation:

T-Systems shows how digital twins can be used to innovatively design user training in virtual paint shops. The develop-ment of end-to-end solutions from didactic model development in VR learning scenarios to implementation with the combination of interactive and real simulations makes the application unique and scalable for other companies and industries.

Bosch demonstrates how design teams can collaborate on virtual prototypes in real time across companies and globally, minimizing business trips and feedback loops.

Siemens transforms complex scientific data into an accessible, intuitive and interactive 3D replica of a real coral reef through a digital twin of a coral reef. This Industrial Metaverse application utilizes and visualizes huge scientific data sets on standard devices without the need for high-end hardware. The technology is application-independent and can be used for various industrial applications such as particle and flow simulations in the process industry.

Sustainability

The three demonstrators show how sustainable and innovative management is possible with Industrial Metaverse appli-cations. The consumption of resources in terms of CO-2 emissions, energy and material costs as well as time can be sig-nificantly reduced through Industrial Metaverse applications in operational practice. Last but not least, Industrial Metaverse can also be used to implement sustainability projects in the public interest that were previously only possible with complex processes and high costs.

Future Outlook

In the near future, the processes shown will be expanded to include advanced simulation tools and AI-supported anal-yses to enable even more precise and energy-efficient product development, simulation and training processes. Through further developments and scalability, Industrial Metaverse will increasingly optimize more processes and workflows in companies and further promote global collaboration along supply chains, thus reducing CO₂ emissions and resource consumption in industry.
