The company is reacting to these trends with the new plant in Changzhou . Lanxess will primarily manufacture Durethan and Pocan brand plastics at the factory.

Production at the factory will be intelligent and highly automated. Multiple ongoing differential dosing scales will be used to enable continuous production in the dosing system. Even the pellet conveyer system can determine required dosages by itself. The hot plastic strands from the extruder are automatically led through a cooling bath before they are transported to the pelletizer for pelletizing.
