Festo, an independent family company based in Esslingen am Neckar, is one of the absolute innovation drivers in the field of pneumatic and electric automation technology. The Swabians will once again be represented at HANNOVER MESSE 2022 with a whole range of innovative products for process automation - such as the new VTOP pneumatic expansion modules.

With the aid of the modular VTOP valve terminal, many different additional pneumatic functions can be implemented in conjunction with a positioner. The mechanical and pneumatic connection between the VTOP valve terminal, the pneumatic actuator and the positioner is made via an adapter plate, to whose pneumatic connections the compressed air supply is also docked. This patented integrated air supply system supplies all modules, actuator and positioner, eliminating the need for complex piping of the individual modules. The simple and safe assembly also prevents errors and avoids leaks by reducing the number of joints between individual components. The available modules can be combined with each other as required, and can be easily expanded and retrofitted.
