SAP presented the new IoT capabilities of its Leonardo suite, including the interoperability of SAP Leonardo IoT with Microsoft Azure’s IoT Hub, at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. SAP’s solution will enable companies to bring IoT data and business processes together, optimize their applications, and consequently open up new business opportunities. The partnership with Microsoft will also enable customers to use Microsoft Azure’s IoT Hub as the connectivity and device management layer for IoT telemetry data, which is then seamlessly relayed to SAP Leonardo IoT.

SAP has also unveiled innovations in other areas of industrial production and maintenance in recent years, such as its cloud solution for digital twins , which renders physical inspections largely superfluous, replacing them with a mere glance at the digital twin.
