KEYENCE Corporation specialises in the development of components for automation technology and distributes them worldwide. One of the Japanese company's latest achievements is the new GL-V series safety light curtain.
According to the supplier, the GL-V series safety light curtains can be described by three key features: maximum visibility, maximum application possibilities, minimum effort. There are three different resolutions to choose from with finger, hand and body protection, which can be installed flush and without a dead zone. These different models can be installed at a working distance of up to 15 metres and are designed to provide maximum safety with minimum safety distances thanks to a protective field height of over two metres, minimal response times and Performance Level PLe.
The interactive status display of the GL-V series enables clear and immediate monitoring of the operating status from every perspective. Thanks to different colour and light patterns, users can see at a glance whether the safety light curtain is clear, interrupted, dirty or reporting an error. This reduces the necessary work steps and time required during commissioning and troubleshooting during operation, thereby increasing machine availability.
