More than just a power supply
With its robust Mobile Power Box, Saarbrücken-based Otto Zimmermann GmbH is now introducing a new, versatile device for numerous applications.

Otto Zimmermann founded the engineering firm of the same name in 1949. Just a few years after its foundation, the company took on its first industrial representations, including the former G.L. Rexroth GmbH and Aerzener Maschinenfabrik GmbH, for the Saarland/Rhineland-Palatinate area. With the addition of other well-known brand manufacturers, the product range in the fields of hydraulics, pneumatics and electronics grew over time.
The latter area also includes the robust Mobile Power Box, a world first from our company, which can be used for simple commissioning, troubleshooting, service work on 24-volt components or to supply external electrical consumers (e.g. switching valves, electrical circuits and amplifier modules).
The most important features of the Mobile Power Box include, among other things, the 24-volt output voltage, a standard in many industries. A total of six M12 connections, each with 48 watts of power, can be switched. A universal connection with 96 watts is always active. Furthermore, the box allows you to choose whether it runs on mains or battery power. Mains operation is possible with 80 to 264 volts AC, while battery operation requires 18 volts DC with BOSCH or AMPShare ProCore batteries. In addition, the Mobile Power Box is short-circuit-proof thanks to reliable and smart fuses in each channel, and a thermal protection system provides a visual warning in the event of overheating and switches off in an emergency. The IP 67 protection class ensures dustproofing and protection against temporary submersion.
