For many years, Weidmüller’s tool cart has been a trusted piece of equipment for many professionals in control cabinet construction. Now, the electrical and connection technology company has introduced a redesigned version that is intended to provide greater efficiency, structure, and flexibility in daily work with new features and optimized equipment.
“The new tool carts make day-to-day wiring work noticeably easier. Well-thought-out storage solutions, flexible expansion options, and practical standard equipment ensure that everything is quickly at hand and that workflows become smoother and clearer. This creates a workspace that is truly tailored to the needs of the user,” explains Tobias Hansmann, Product Manager for Hand Tools at Weidmüller.
The updated tool cart combines high-quality craftsmanship with functional design and serves as a mobile organization platform specifically tailored to the requirements of control panel construction. Thanks to custom-fit foam inserts, tools can be stored neatly and securely in the drawers. The clear structure ensures that everything is immediately within reach—reducing search times and accelerating work processes. The six transparent, tiltable containers on the front are particularly practical. They provide space for consumables such as wire end ferrules, cable ties, or small spare parts and allow for quick retrieval while maintaining a clear overview.
Another feature is the integrated perforated grid on the ends of the cart. In combination with recessed press-in nuts, users can securely attach additional modules such as holders, hooks, or shelves and customize the cart to their needs. This allows the workspace to be flexibly adapted to different tasks and personal work styles. The new generation also demonstrates versatility in its work surface: depending on the application, users can choose between a robust plastic surface or a high-quality wooden panel. The new tool cart is thus far more than just a means of transporting tools. It functions as a well-designed, mobile material station that creates structure, simplifies processes, and sustainably increases efficiency in control cabinet construction.
