The concept, called ‘ Service-Meister ’ (service master), has been developed under the leadership of USU Software AG , based in Möglingen, near Stuttgart. The aim of the AI platform is to help German mid-size companies provide their customers with their services quickly, cost-effectively, and tailored to the relevant field of application. The project, funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWi), should enable German industry to retain its digitalization lead on the international market.
The service platform combines expertise and machine learning and supports mid-size companies in marketing not just their industrial systems, but also their service know-how. The project predominately focuses on the permanent, automated monitoring of machine statuses, digital communication between foremen and engineers during troubleshooting, and the introduction of AI-based chat bots for routine tasks.
